Kole
I ran hard around the track. I was confused and was running off my thoughts. I had a tendency to work to hard when I was confused or something. I stopped took a hard breath and kept going. I couldn't get Lesley off my mind but I wasn't sure what to do.

Once on the second to last day of school, another a few months back....I...what was I? In love.....maybe....no? ...yes? I began jogging once I hit the track, putting my hair in a high pony. Last time I had seen Kole we where at gyn class, then had gone to the Sweet shoppe. What was I going to do. I noticed someone else on the track, suddenly...was it....could it be....Kole?! |

I heard someone behind me but I didnt feel like turning around or talking to anyone. Instead i turned up my ipod and ran ahead faster, despite running out of energy.

Maybe it wasn't Kole...I was SERIOUSLY OUT.OF.MY.MIND. I ran harder too, almost passing the guy ahead of me....it sure looked a lot like Kole. I shrugged, despite the fact I was running, and was lightly singing to myself.....I kept moving, just behind the Kole-Wannabe.

I tried to ignore the person behind me but coudnt shake the feeling of their eyes looking at me. i glanced back to see who was following me. I snapped my head back quickly when i realized who it was...Lesley... I hoped she hadnt noticed who I was. Despite being more and more fatigued by the minute, I ran harder and faster. My feet ponded against the track.

Kole-wannabe snapped his head back to look at me. It WAS Kole! I knew it! He started running faster..away from me. I felt tears in my eyes as he pounded away from me. He knew it was me. And didn't even have the guts to say "Hello" or "I'm sorry for Kissing you. I didn't mean it"....

I finally stopped. I couldnt run any more. I leaned over with my hands on my knees and breathed hard. I wanted to talk to her but wouldnt even know what to say or where to start.

Kole stopped. I slowed down a little bit, finally easing into a walk. I wasn't breathing nearly as hard as him, but was breathing hard. I stopped in front of him. "Hi." Was all I could manage. What was I going to say to him...what was he going to say to me? I pushed a red/brown strand of hair behind my ear as I looked at him.

Ohh, what had I done..? I gently tilted her chin up now looking in her eyes, still not sure what I was doing. "Why are you sorry? You have no need to be sorry. This is all me." i said softly.
