Austin ... It had been three weeks. I left school a week before it was over and came to camp two weeks late. My mom had needed my help back home with my father and my siblings, too, needed to see me. My dad, of coarse, was upset to see me because I was the only one who stood up to him. My brothers tried, but it never was enough. After days of arguments, fighting, and adding a few more small scars to my body, I managed to get something done about it. Currently, he was in jail waiting for further investigation. My mom sent me off again thinking it was best for me, but it wasn't. I needed my family and they needed me. But, here I was, back at Canterwood. Not that it was all bad, Id get to see Abby again and I missed her, but I was not exactly in a good mood at all. I was depressed, frustrated, and wanted things to just work out again. Trying to relax and sort my thoughts out, I wondered to the meadow after unpacking, hoping to be alone. I sat on a log with my guitar, not that I intended on playing, really, but it comforted me. After a few minutes, I ended up started strumming a few notes, singing along to a song I sort of wrote... We're taking on water.

I cantered Danny towards the fire pit cuz thats were I felt like going.. I felt so free. As we neared the fire pit I slowed Danny to a walk and let him have a free rein. I started to hear a voice singing. i instantly knew who it was and grinned to myself. I hadnt seen Austin in three weeks and was now giddy. I walked danny until i saw Austin. i couldnt help myself. I wouldnt normally scream or try to scare him but I just couldnt hold in my feelings. "Austin!" I called out loudly in a giddy, high pitched voice. I jumped off Danny quickly.

I heard a voice and recognized it immanently. I squeezed my eyes shut for a moment. Not that I wasn't happy to see her, I just wanted to figure out what I was going to say to her and how I would explain things. I didn't want her to worry and I didn't want her to figure out something was wrong. I turned to her and smiled a bit weakly. "Abby!" I stood up and took her in a hug, picking her up.

I let go of Danny's reins and he stood still. I hugged Austin back, squeezing him tightly. "I've missed you so much." i said still giddy.

"I missed you too," I replied softly. I set her back on the ground, kissing her for a long moment before pulling away. "How have you been?" I asked, hoping her wouldn't ask too many questions. I didn't need her to worry.

I kissed him back. "Other than missing you and wondering about you, pretty good." I smiled. "How was home?" I asked a little softer.

I smiled a little at her cute answer before she asked the question I didn't want to have to answer. "Fine," I replied quietly. I knew she would press the question more, but I didn't say anything more.

I nodded. I was smart enough to know there was more and I want ed to know but he just got back and I didnt want to push him. "Why dont we just hang out and when you're more settled in we can talk about your trip back home?" I suggested softly.

I nodded even though I didn't ever want to talk about. All I wanted to do was fix it. But I couldn't.

I smiled softly, I knew he really didnt want to talk about it. Just then Danny nudged my shoulder hard and I fell into Austin. "Danny!" i said but laughed.

I quickly wrapped my arms around Abby by instinct as she fell towards me. I chuckled when I realized it was the horse. I kissed Abby's forehead and smiled softly.

I smiled back at him and kissed his cheek. Danny nudged my butt. "Danny what are you trying to do?' I laughed as I turned to my silly paint.
